After September 2015 Google supports and implements Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) on all blogs with Blogspot subdomains, now the same can also be applied to blogs that are custom domains.
Custom domain is a blog that entrusts all of its data on blogspot. Starting from hosting, space to bandwidth is still in the shade of bloggers. Only the domain name of the blog has changed.
This custom domain facility from blogspot is an added value when compared to WordPress. Many people choose to take this step to save annual costs. Because the only cost incurred is only the domain rental. No longer busy with hosting fees.
There are pluses and minuses when implementing a custom domain. But for blogs whose purpose is not for business or other big business, it's better to go that way. But indeed if you want to be more professional you should use a self hosting blog.
Back again with HTTPS. Previously, blogspot did not yet support this transfer for custom domains. I do not know since when the policy was enforced. However, BLOGOOBLOK can activate it. Just the past few days to be more precise.
I still remember the beginning of the blogspot protocol to switch from HTTP to HTTPS. There is a special warning in the 'Settings' section, that setting a custom domain will disable HTTPS availability. Plus information that HTTPS will not be available for blogs with special domains.
Since then, this blog's hopes have been dashed to set Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Because to implement encrypted means having to issue a little pulse to buy an SSL certificate. Moreover, it will be difficult to implement it with a custom domain.
Actually I never intentionally pay attention to this setting again. Because of that memory from before. But my eyes arrived a few days ago with the happy policy. Finally, even though this blog can already implement custom HTTPS protocol.
For those of you who also implement a custom domain, it never hurts to check the Settings section. On the 'Basic' tab see HTTPS. If the HTTPS Availability button has a choice between Yes and No. Please select Yes if you intend. After that, don't forget to do the same thing with HTTPS Redirects.
After making the transfer, the process of propagation slowly takes place. Please check the URL of your blog. Which initially only says www.
When the propagation process occurs, the installed Adsense ads will disappear for a moment. So no need to worry. It won't be long, they come back again. At first, even though there is HTTPS written in the URL, there will be an exclamation mark in front of it. That means it is still in process.
There is no need to take other actions after changing the URL protocol. For visitors who come, will slowly be transferred to HTTPS. Traffic will also have no effect. Even now, trust our site is good, because it is safer to do many things.
I really want to hear from friends about this experience. Who knows if someone has done it first or someone has been rejected. Your story will be very important to update information about this. But for me, this is truly extraordinary.
Greetings creations!
