Playing with Google, of course, is full of risks that could happen at any time if not always careful. This also finally happened to me, through a YouTube account that has been earning, Google took a surprising action.
My main account on Youtube was suspended by Google, because it violated YouTube's policy guidelines. Unfortunately, my primary account or my primary account is suspended, which is automatic, the other channels in that account are inaccessible, even though they are not subject to suspension.
Notification of punishment is not sudden. My account's monetization has been deactivated since the middle of the year. Because of limited knowledge, I think, nothing will happen as long as I don't upload another video. Some time before a similar account was briefly deactivated, but was finally active again.
At that time, I considered violating copywrite one video. But after making an appeal, I won and I could monetize the video. Although it has already been deactivated, the account is back again as before. This second violation is indeed quite severe because it violates YouTube community guidelines.
After almost half a year of not messing around with the account, suddenly Tuesday, December 20, 2016 Google sent an email that my email was suspended. This Google notification means that it covers the entire email, which means that I am not authorized to access other Google products using that email.
After making repairs and complaints to Google, my email can be active again with the help of telephone number verification. Unfortunately, my Youtube account can't. As I write this, I have also filed an appeal with Google, most likely an error occurred. Because the account in question has not been monetized, even though the video has not been deleted.
While waiting for the results of the appeal, I also tried to find a way to save other channels. Initially I tried to change the primary account, but unlucky, because to change that, we must enter creator studio. While that is the problem, I am not allowed to enter using the same email.
After learning more about problems like this, I was finally able to get out. You do this by transferring ownership of the channel to my other email. Fortunately, when I created an email for Youtube, I linked it to my main email, so that if there is a problem, I can also get a notification in the main email.
Here are the steps that must be done if you experience the same thing as the case above. The main account is suspended, we move the other channel.
- First click on Login on Youtube. If there is a page like this below, it means your account is suspended. Next, click the account icon in the top right corner then click My Account or My Account.
- After that your Google account page will appear as a whole. Then click again on the Account Icon in the upper right corner, until a number of channels appear that you have. Select which channel you want to move. If you have more than one channel, the process will be repeated repeatedly. In this example, we will move the channel. Click the channel.
- If selected, it will change as shown below. A account will be a priority to be managed. Primary or default accounts will be divided below. Next, click the Manage Account button.
- An image will appear as follows. Please click the Manage Permissions button.
- Then the display will look like the following. Where it is explained that the Wisa Rahardi account is the Primary Owner alias the main owner. Where is the channel that has been suspended. We just need to click the add icon in the upper right corner.
- Next, please enter your other email account in the text box, then select the type of ownership at the bottom. If you want to move with full access, select as Owner. After that, click Invite. You can also add other e-mails with different or the same type of access.
- If successful, the display will be as follows. There are already two accounts that can access the channel concerned. Click Done when you are sure it is correct.
- The next step, enter another browser that has the email that was opened. In the email there will be a message from Google My Business that says you get an invitation to manage the relevant Youtube channel. All you have to do is click Accept Invitation.
- A new window will open. All you have to do is click the Accept button.
- After that the brand account details page will appear as follows. That means you already have access to the channel concerned. You can click view general account info and select Youtube, or can directly open Youtube and choose to enter the channel as usual.
The above process can be done repeatedly, if you have many channels in one account. Because I have 9 Youtube channels, the process above I did as much as 8 times. I didn't move the main channel that was suspended, because it really wouldn't.
The only hope left from the channel is the miracle and glory of the heart of Mimin Google to restore it to normal. Initially, I was pessimistic about the suspend, but after moving the entire channel and checking the number of videos and their income. I was finally relieved, because it hasn't changed at all. Everything remains the same as in the previous account.
Monetization in the previous account also participates so there is no need to set it up again.
The lessons from this case are:
- Don't mix all types of videos in one account. Moreover, videos that are at risk of being attacked by the Youtube community. The video includes violence, sexuality, things that are not appropriate to be watched by minors and so on. For more information, please read the Youtube Community Guidelines
- We recommend that videos that have a high risk are made a special channel, so that if you are suspended, only the relevant channel will be affected.
- If you can, you don't need to fill the video in the main channel, especially if the video has a big risk. Instead, create another channel to fill in or group similar videos. Because if the main account is suspended, the consequences can be like the case above.
- If it has already happened like the above, but it has not been suspended, it is better to immediately change the primary channel to a channel that is safer to be suspended.
- It is better to work on Youtube with educational and original content. My suspended account actually already has nearly 100 videos with composition, 40 percent tutorials, 60 percent criminal events and other events. This video of events which experienced a lot of reprimands, for showing violence. There are indeed many viewers, some even up to 2 million. But the risk is quite large and the price of advertising is also low.
Remember, if you get a reprimand, this will continue to be recorded by Youtube. Even though the video that was hit by the chopstick was removed, the period of mourning continues, until it is declared clean. If you have been reprimanded, do not repeat it repeatedly. The result can be like my account nasih above.
Although this is a personal experience, I hope this does not happen with other friends. I deliberately tell this to be an experience, that it is not easy to be a Google lover forever. We must always be vigilant and present the best work. Because the video that we spread, will continue to be seen by people. Then spread everything that has positive value.
