A child who loves cats
If you have a child who is an animal lover, then it would be better if you teach him how to "friendly" with animals (especially cats).
Here are tips that can be tried to knock the empathy of children to be friendly and loving cats:
- Choose a cat that is still 2-3 months old. The type and race can be adjusted to your taste and your pocket.
- Choose a cat whose behavior is not aggressive, but obedient, gentle, funny, and sweet.
- Consult your veterinarian first to check the general health of cats, vaccinate and check or prevent parasitic diseases, both ectoparasites and endoparasites.
- Watch your child when playing with cats. Supervision is carried out until the child can treat his cat properly.
- Include your child in daily care activities such as feeding or drinking, playing, combing hair, or training.
- Teach children how to communicate with cats. This not only aims to teach children to be responsible, but also teaches how to build symbiotic relationships (good relations between the two parties).
- Tell your child about things that cats don't like, such as: harsh treatment, snapping sounds (especially loud and harsh), hitting, pulling or pushing the tail / leg / ear, causing pain.
- Tell your child to let the cat sleep, eat, relax and rest where he likes. Don't let your child tease his cat, but let him know that even cats need rest, sleep, and don't want to be disturbed.
- Demonstrate in front of your child a good way to lift or hold, using both hands. Don't let your child lift his cat with only one hand, let alone raise his neck, ears, tail, legs, or stomach.
