Kwikku is one of Indonesia's social networks developed by 11 students from the State Islamic University (UIN) Malang. Kwikku was alone because he wanted to compete with foreign social networks that were already present in Indonesia.
At first glance, Kwikku was designed by the developer as a social network for young Indonesians to stay in touch and pour out their heads. Besides being in the form of a website, Kwikku has also been present in the form of applications for Android smartphones that can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store .
If you have installed this application it is required to enter your username and password to login. But if you don't have it, you can directly register in the Register menu by entering your biodata along with the active e-mail.
Furthermore, when you successfully login to the Kwikku application it will be presented with an interface that is almost similar to Instagram combined with Facebook in its status column.
There are 5 main menus at the bottom of the application consisting of Home, Search, Notifications, Messages, and Others. Menur This homepage is the main page of the Kwikku application that allows users to upload status, photos, and videos and also can see the status of other users and news that are circulating.
Still on the Home page, there are photos of other popular user profiles at the top of the application that look like Instagram Story. But if selected it will be thrown into the profile page of the other user.
To be able to create a status, users of this application can press the + button inside the blue circle. Furthermore, Kwikku users can immediately write the status plus the emoticon article, photo or video links.
Furthermore, the status can be raised to the top position of the timeline if many users vote with the up arrow. While voting with the down arrow will lower the status position in the timeline.
In addition, this status can be commented on by other users and shared with other social networks. Even like a Re-tweet, in this social network there is a Re-Kwik feature that other users can choose if they want to use our status.
Switching to the Search menu, users can find other popular users and news that are currently in the headlines from Kwikku. While the Notif menu, contains the latest notifications, the longest, from followers, as well as other users who see.
While the Message menu, allows users to write DM messages (Direct Message) to other users like Instagram and Twitter. To write the user simply write the name of another user's account complete with the contents of the message on the Message menu.
Still in the Message menu page, there is a Conversation tab that contains conversations with other users and Online that displays other users who are currently active on the Kwikku social network.
Finally, on the Other menu there are interesting sub-menus consisting of Popularity, Discover, Market, Community, Singles, Wallets, Tokens, and QR Code Scanners. Discover itself contains the latest news and memes that are presented to its users.
Furthermore, the Singles sub-menu allows users to get acquainted with other users who are single and activate this feature. In addition, you can also ask the experts about not being single anymore.
Meanwhile, token is a currency system that is implemented in Kwikku. Users can use Tokens to buy anything in Kwikku, starting from seeing all the profiles of other users, visiting users, Boost Accounts, seeing all profiles that visit the user's profile, buying emoticons, and many more. Later Kwikku users can see the number of Tokens they have in the Dompet sub-menu.
Although the Kwikku application already has many features, the interaction between users is still lacking. In addition, the developer needs to add other features that are more interesting so that the Kwikku application does not feel stiff when used by other users.
In my opinion, the interaction between new users and other users and users who have been popular are still considered rather difficult and experience gaps so that they cannot communicate smoothly such as using Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. For this reason, hopefully the developers will make more interesting innovations in the Kwikku application so they can attract other new users.
But Kwikku itself has been awarded as the Best of the Best Android Application at the Horizon Awards event held by (JITC) East Java IT Creative and East Java Industry and Trade.
