Protected View feature is a feature found in Microsoft Office 2010. This feature itself is useful for securing document files by limiting editing of these files. Not a few people are actually bothered by this feature, especially now that many people are downloading documents from the internet.

1. First run Microsoft Word 2010 . After the MS Word window opens, click the File menu at the top left then select Options . Word Options dialog box will appear , in the list on the left, select Trust Center , after you select, please click Trust Center Settings .
2. The Trust Center dialog box will appear, on the left click Protected View.
3. Remove the check mark on this option:
- Enable Protected View for files originating from the Internet
- Enable Protected View for files located in potentially unsafe locations
- Enable Protected View for Outlook attachments
4. After that press Ok .
